Sullivan Service is committed to helping our local Pittsburgh and Allegheny County community, and especially those less fortunate members of our society.
For the past eight years we have helped raise monetary and food donations for the Greater Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Community Food Bank. This worthy cause is works tirelessly to eliminate hunger. In addition to our own contributions and events, we also encourage donations from our customers by way of a $25 coupon from us for those participating in our food drives too.
Sullivan Super Service is pleased to host its 15th Annual Food Drive benefiting the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. You can donate to our drive from September through the end of the year by donating food items or cash to technicians directly, dropping off or mailing items to our office or requesting a pick up by calling our office at 412-271-0900.
Each year, we kick off the food drive during September in honor of Hunger Action Month. We join the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks to urge individuals to take action in their communities during this month. Our annual food drive was started in 2001 by owner John L. Sullivan who recognized the need to provide for those less fortunate in our region. For the past 15 years, our staff and customers have enjoyed the opportunity to contribute to our community and our team of Heroes enjoy making it easy for them. We provide a discount as our thank you for supporting this worthy cause!
Each customer who donates five or more items will receive a coupon for $25 off their next service call.
Our staff will be competing amongst each to collect the most donations. The team who wins will enjoy breakfast cooked by the losing team and the individual who collects the most donations and cash will receive a gift certificate to a local restaurant.
This year, we hope to beat last year’s collection of food and monetary donations.
The food bank especially requests items needed for holiday dinners.. These items include instant mashed potatoes, boxed stuffing mix, canned corn, beans and yams, canned cranberry, cornbread mix, instant or canned gravy, pie crust, mix and filling, canned fruit, cake, brownie and dessert mixes and 100% juice.
Interested donors who are not in need of service may drop off donations at the business office located at 1350 5th Avenue, East McKeesport, PA 15035 or by requesting a pick up by calling 412-271-0900.
